SC: Officer Serving Ruling Govt Can't be Appointed as State Election Commissioner - (12 Mar 2021)

SERVICE

Supreme Court has held that a government officer serving a state government cannot be appointed as the State Election Commissioner of that state. The Court has passed this significant direction to ensure the independence of the State Election Commission.
