SC: Limitation Period for Filing 'Section 11' Application Governed by Article 137 Limitation Act - (10 Mar 2021)

LIMITATION

Supreme Court has stated that the period of limitation for filing an application under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 would be governed by Article 137 of the First Schedule of the Limitation Act, 1963 and will begin to run from the date when there is failure to appoint the arbitrator.
