Consumer Redressal Forum Imposes Fine on Hotel for Charging a Customer Over and Above MRP - (04 Feb 2016)

Thane District Consumer Redressal Forum has held that charging a customer over and above the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) amounts to deficiency in service and ordered the management of a city hotel to refund the excess amount it had charged a Naigaon resident along with Rs 2,000 towards legal expenses.
