SC: Request for Inspection of Ballot Papers to be Considered Only When Accompanied by Valid Grounds - (02 Feb 2021)

ELECTION

Supreme Court has dismissed the pleas of two defeated candidates in the 2015 Panchayat elections in Kerala affirming that a request for inspection, recounting of ballot papers etc. have to be considered only if it is accompanied with a really genuine ground, supported by valid reasons.
