ITAT, Mumbai: Tata Trusts to Continue to be Exempt from Payment of Taxes - (29 Dec 2020)

DIRECT TAXATION

Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai has quashed revisionary orders passed by the Commissioner (exemptions), which would have resulted in three Tata Trusts having to pay taxes. The original assessment orders of the Income Tax officer, which had upheld the tax-exempt status of these trusts, will apply.
