DoT: Landline Users to Add Zero Before Mobile Numbers from January 1 - (26 Nov 2020)

MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION

Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has said that landline users will have to add a zero before calling any mobile number 1st January, 2021 onwards. The Department has accepted the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) recommendations because the move would allow creating numbering space for fixed-line and mobile services.
