Madras HC Disallows Credit for Cesses Not Subsumed Under GST Laws - (19 Oct 2020)

GOODS AND SERVICES TAX

Madras High Court has held that the cesses that have not been subsumed by the Goods and Service Tax laws cannot be carried forward to claim set off against output tax credit.
