Lok Sabha Passes Bill to Reduce Salary & Allowances of MPs to Meet Pandemic Expenses - (16 Sep 2020)

CIVIL

Lok Sabha has passed the Salary, Allowances & Pension of Members of Parliament (Amendment) Bill, 2020, by voice vote. The Bill proposes to reduce certain allowances of Members of Parliament for one year, to supplement the financial resources of the Centre to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
