J&K HC: Magistrate Precluded from Ordering Investigation After Taking Cognizance - (02 Sep 2020)

CRIMINAL

Jammu & Kashmir High Court has ruled that once a Magistrate takes cognizance of an offence, he is, thereafter, precluded from ordering an investigation under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
