RBI: Aadhaar is Not Mandatory for DBT Scheme - (15 Jan 2016)

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said in a clarification on Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Scheme that use of Aadhaar cards and seeding of bank accounts with those numbers are purely voluntary and not mandatory.
