SC Dismisses Plea for Constituting "Special Purpose Fund" to Financially Assist NRIs - (11 May 2020)

Supreme Court has dismissed a Petition seeking for the constitution of a "Special Purpose Fund" for Non-Resident Indians and emigrant workers who are under severe financial distress as a result of lack of means of healthcare and welfare amenities due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
