SC: Quantity of Actual Drug Weight to Determine Small or Commercial Quantity - (23 Apr 2020)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has ruled that punishment for possessing banned drugs under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 would depend on the quantity of the banned substance seized from the person and not on the purity of the illicit drug.
