SC: 'Ex Post Facto' Environmental Clearance Unsustainable in Law - (02 Apr 2020)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court has observed that the concept of 'ex post facto' Environmental Clearance (EC) is against the fundamental principles of environmental jurisprudence as it would be contrary to both the precautionary principle as well as the need for sustainable development.
