Chhattisgarh High Court Upholds Increased Rates of Cess on Land Used for Mining - (26 Feb 2020)

Chhattisgarh High Court has upheld the increased rates of development cess and environmental cess on land covered under mining lease as per the amendment introduced to the Chattisgarh (Adhosanrachna Vikas Evam Paryavaran) Upkar Adhiniyam, 2005, whereby the rates were increased to 11.25%.
