Delhi High Court Refuses Mahout’s Plea Seeking Release of Elephant from Alleged Illegal Detention - (22 Jan 2020)

CIVIL

Delhi High Court has refused to entertain the mahout’s Plea seeking the release of an elephant from alleged illegal detention. The Court stated that keeping the elephant at an elephant rehabilitation centre cannot be termed as illegal or unauthorized as the jungle is the natural habitat of such animals.
