Supreme Court: Don’t Punish Child for Marrying Female Adult - (06 Jan 2020)

FAMILY

Supreme Court has observed that says Section 9 of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 is only concerned with punishment for male adult marrying a child. The anti-child marriage law does not intend to punish a male aged between 18 and 21 years for marrying a “female adult,”.
