Supreme Court Directs Maharashtra to not Cut Trees for Metro Project - (11 Dec 2019)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court has directed the Maharashtra Government and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority not to cut trees for the Metro project in Mumbai till the Bombay High Court decision on an activist's plea against tree felling. The Court returned to the high court appeal by Rohit Joshi challenging an earlier High Court order.
