Supreme Court: Compromise Between Accused & Victim is of No Importance while Deciding Rape Cases - (06 Dec 2019)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has reiterated that compromise between rape accused and victim is of no relevance in deciding rape cases. The Court observed that it is imperative to emphasize that the Courts do not accept such compromise in matters relating to the offence of rape and similar cases of sexual assault.
