SC:State Cannot Alienate Water Bodies for Industrial Activities under Guise of Providing Alternatives - (26 Nov 2019)

CIVIL

Supreme Court has ruled that it is not permissible for the State to alienate common water bodies for industrial activities under the guise of providing alternatives. The Court further observed that allowing such invaluable community resources to be taken over by a few is grossly illegal.
