Supreme Court Stays SAT's Order Holding that SEBI Lacks Power to Bar Auditors - (19 Nov 2019)

Supreme Court has stayed an order of the Securities Appellate Tribunal which had ruled that markets' watchdog Securities and Exchange Board of India does not have the power to bar auditors. The Court also issued notice on the appeal filed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India against the SAT's September 9 order.
