SC: Subsequent Purchasers Cannot Seek Declaration that Land Acquisition Proceedings have Lapsed - (16 Oct 2019)

LAND ACQUISITION

Supreme Court has ruled that subsequent purchaser of the property after issuance of notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 cannot invoke the provisions contained in Section 24 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
