KHC: Person Arrested Authorized to Move for Bail Though he was not Produced Before Magistrate - (26 Sep 2019)

CRIMINAL

Karnataka High Court(KHC) has directed a Magistrate to entertain a bail plea and pass appropriate orders as per law. The Court observed that it goes without saying that if a person was arrested and not produced before the Jurisdictional Court he was entitled to maintain a petition under Section 437 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 before the Magistrate.
