SC Issues Notice to Kerala Govt. and Vizhinjam over Construction of Port in Vizhinjam - (17 Dec 2015)

SC has issued notices to Kerala Govt. and Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd, on a plea seeking to stop construction of a deep sea port in Vizhinjam, near Kovalam in Kerala, alleging that site is ecologically sensitive and green clearance given was illegal as it comes under Coastal Regulation Zone.
