Madras High Court: Religious Bodies Cannot Dissolve Marriages - (19 Aug 2019)

Madras High Court has ruled that religious organisations have got no power to dissolve a marriage or to permit a marriage and such exercises by a jamath or any other religious organisation are condemnable and should be dealt with very seriously by the authorities concerned.
