Madras High Court Seeks State Govt to Explain Progress in Tackling Caste Killings - (11 Jul 2019)

Madras High Court has directed the State Government to explain within ten days the steps taken to implement a Supreme Court order that dealt with measures to prevent caste-based “honour” killings. The court was acting on its own, based on various media reports of caste killings in Tamil Nadu.
