RBI Sets 24-hr Deadline to Bring Back Payment Data Processed Abroad - (27 Jun 2019)

BANKING

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has observed that all payments-related data has to be stored within India and in cases where data gets processed abroad, it needs to be brought back within 24 hours, reiterating its stand of last year’s on compulsory localisation of payments data.
