Examination of Witnesses in Absence of Accused is Curable Irregularity: SC - (12 Apr 2019)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has held that absence of the accused while taking evidence of prosecution witnesses, by itself, would not vitiate the trial, unless great prejudice has caused to accused.
