President Assents Haryana’s Cow Protection Law - (20 Nov 2015)

Haryana’s Cow Protection law has come into force with effect from 19 November, after President Pranab Mukherjee’s assent. With issuance of notification of the bill, cow slaughter in Haryana will now attract a rigorous imprisonment ranging from 3 years to 10 years.
