No Legally Enforceable Debt If Cheque Issued for Illegal Consideration: Karnataka High Court - (02 Aug 2018)

Karnataka High Court has quashed a complaint filed for dishonour of cheque under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act on the ground that the complaint did not reveal any “legally enforceable debt”.
