One of the important objectives of TRAI is to create awareness and safeguard consumer interests. Towards this objective, TRAI organizes consumer outreach programmes, regional workshops on capacity building of Consumer Advocacy Groups (CAGs) registered with TRAI and seminars on issues of consumer interest and protection. In this series, TRAI organized a Seminar on the topic "Big Data Analysis and Cyber Security" on 23rd February, 2018 at Fern Citadel Hotel, Bengaluru (Karnataka) through its Regional Office, Bengaluru.

2. In the Seminar topics like Big Data, Cryptography & Block Chain Technology, Cyber Crimes & Incident Response Management were presented by distinguished speakers from IIIT, IISC and Data Security Council of India Bangalore respectively. The participants were benefited from the discussion/interactions during the Seminar.

3. Around 160 participants from Central Govt. organisations (ISRO, NAL CDOT, DOT, STPI, etc), State Govt. organisations (IT, Centre for e-Governance, Commercial Tax, Mines and Geology, Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Education Department etc), PSUs (BEL, HMT, BEML, ITI, BMRCL, KEONICS, Power Grid Corporation of India etc) Banks, Engineering Colleges, Telecom Service Providers and Consumer Advocacy Group attended the seminar.
