Delhi High Court: Powers of Sealing Panel Derived From SC Order - (28 Feb 2018)

Delhi High Court has made it clear that the monitoring committee on sealing cannot enjoy powers beyond those vested in it by the Supreme Court. While setting aside a sealing direction given by the panel to the north corporation, HC said the panel was set up with a view to check misuse of residential properties for commercial gains and it cannot begin issuing directions against other types of premises.
