SC Levies 'Environment Compensation Charge' of Rs 700 & Rs 1300 on Commercial Vehicles entering Delhi - (13 Oct 2015)

Supreme Court has levied 'Environment Compensation Charge' of Rs 700 and Rs 1300 on commercial vehicles entering Delhi from November 1 for 4 months. The money will be collected by toll operators and handed over to Delhi Government on every Friday for cleaning up of Delhi's air.
