SC Questions Govt. for its Mandate on Framing Uniform Civil Code for all Religions - (13 Oct 2015)

SC while hearing petition challenging legal provision that compels Christian couples to wait for at least 2 years for divorce, whereas this period is 1 year for other religions, has asked Govt. about its mandate on framing Uniform Civil Code so that unvarying standards are ushered.
