No Lapse of Acquisition Due to Non-deposit of Amount in Court: SC - (09 Feb 2018)

Supreme Court has held that due to failure of deposit in court, the only consequence at the most in appropriate cases may be of a higher rate of interest on compensation as envisaged under section 34 of the Land Acquisition Act and not lapse of acquisition.
