SC Says Bypolls Drain Exchequer, Issues Notice to Centre and EC on 'One Candidate, One Seat' Demand - (11 Dec 2017)

The practice of contesting from multiple seats, the Supreme Court said, adds to the burden on the exchequer since another election has to be conducted on the seat vacated by the candidate.
