"Sex With Wife Below 18 Is Rape", Says Supreme Court - (11 Oct 2017)

Supreme Court has held that a man will be punished for rape if he is found to be guilty of having sexual intercourse with his minor wife. The apex court, which had earlier stated that it does not wish to get into the domain of marital rape, said that the age of consent is 18 years for a woman.
