NGT to Environment Ministry: No Sand Mining in North India During Rainy Season - (28 Sep 2015)

NGT while disposing of plea alleging that mining activity carried out in rainy season was contrary to terms of environmental clearance, has ordered Environment Ministry to not to grant environmental clearance for sand mining in rivers of north India till September 1 each year and in rainy season.
