SC: People Can’t be Asked to Prove Citizenship on Mere Suspicion Without Sharing Material - (12 Jul 2024)

CONSTITUTION

Supreme Court has held that on mere suspicion and lack of any material basis or information, authorities cannot randomly accuse individuals of being foreigners and ask them to prove their Indian citizenship.
