Calcutta HC Registers Suo Moto Case to Monitor Mentally Ill Prisoners in Sheela Barse Case - (02 Apr 2021)

Calcutta High Court has registered a suo moto case to monitor the mental health and other allied matters of various convicts and undertrial prisoners lodged in various correctional homes in West Bengal and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in Sheela Barse v. Union of India & Ors. case.
