Amendment in notification number S.O. 2655(E), dated the 23rd September, 2015- (Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying) (25 Mar 2021)

S.O.1355(E).--In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Livestock Importation Act, 1898 (9 of 1898), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries number S.O. 2655(E), dated the 23rd September, 2015, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 28th September, 2015, namely:-

1. In the said notification, in the Schedule in the Form, for paragraph (III) relating to General details about the animal, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"(III) General details about the animal:

1. The bovine animal mentioned at paragraph (II) above -

(i) is permanently identified by a unique animal identification number;

(ii) was born and have been continually residing in the exporting country or was born in a country having equal or better animal health status than the exporting country;

(iii) is less than five months pregnant;

(iv) has been tested for genetic disorders using extant DNA based techniques or has been issued a certificate declaring absence of known genetic disorders specific to the breed and type of animal, including Bovine Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency Syndrome, Citrullinaemia, Deficiency of Uridine Monophosphate Synthase, Complex Vertebral Malformation, Brachyspina and Factor XI deficiency syndrome.

2. The exporting country shall provide the Genetic Marker Report of the animal, if available."
