Conducted over a three or four day period, the tests involved driving a 300km route in the city (600km for Delhi and Mumbai) to monitor cellular coverage to gauge performance on the basis of call drops, voice quality and other parameters. Cities tested included Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Surat. Unlike previous tests which covered only 2G networks, the latest appraisal of network quality was for both 3G and 2G reception. TRAI’s overall conclusions suggested improvement of cellular networks, although its observations of ‘not been able to improve’ and ‘deteriorated’ for individual cities were in stark contrast.</strong></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top" ><strong></strong></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top" ><strong>Tags : Trai, drive test, 2016, cellular network</strong></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> </td> </tr> <tr> <!--<td><strong>Source : <a target="_new" href="http://www.manupatrafast.com/">newsroom.manupatra.com</a></strong></td>--> <td align="left" valign="top"><strong>Source : newsroom.manupatra.com</strong></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top">Regards</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top">Team Manupatra</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> </td> </tr> </table> </div> </body> </html>
