<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> </head> <body> <div style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:12px; text-align:justify"> <table width="800" border="0" style="border:1px solid #ccc;padding:5px;" align="center" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> Ministry of Environment and Forests Central Government extend the validity of the notification issued vide number S.O. 345(E), dated the 17th January, 2019 for a further period of one year MANU/ENVT/0025/2020 - (18 Feb 2020) </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top" style="background-color:#FDEDCE">S.O.750(E).--WHEREAS, the Central Government in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (v) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with sub-rule (4) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government has published notification for expediting prior environmental clearances to the projects for manufacturing of bio-ethanol for the purpose of blending with the petrol under the Ethonol Blending Programme vide number S.O. 345(E), dated the 17th January, 2019 to remain in force for a period of one year from the date of publication of the notification; 
AND WHEREAS, the Ministry is in the receipt of representations for extension of validity of the notification for one more year to encourage to increase the ethanol production;
