Supreme Court: Cannot Transfer Cheque Dishonour Complaint on Instance of Accused - (25 Jun 2024)

BANKING

Supreme Court while dismissing a transfer application sought at the behest of accused, has observed that an accused cannot seek transfer of a case for the offence of dishonour of cheque under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act 1881.
