SC: Government Officers to First Appear Virtually, if Court Thinks Their Presence to be Necessary - (25 Apr 2024)

CIVIL

SC while expressing disapproval at practice of High Courts routinely ordering personal appearance of Government Officials, has observed that if High Courts think that it is necessary to direct personal appearance of the official, they should first allow them to appear through video conferencing.
