SC: No Benefit of Lapse Available if Delay in Possession is Due to Pending Litigation - (17 Jan 2023)

LAND ACQUISITION

Supreme Court has held that delay in taking possession of land due to pending litigation does not entitle original owner of land the benefit of lapse under Section 24(2) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
